Rappahannock County Schools: Rappahannock County Elementary School welcomed most students in 2023-24 school year

Rappahannock County Elementary School had the highest enrollment among Rappahannock County schools, welcoming 466 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed at the time, 53.6% of them were male, and 46.4% were female.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 83% of Rappahannock County Elementary School's total enrollment.

Among the two schools in Rappahannock County, Rappahannock County High School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 308 students.

Rappahannock County Elementary School is part of Rappahannock County Public Schools District, which roughly covers schools within Rappahannock County, with its main office in Washington.

In the previous school year, Rappahannock County Elementary School also had the highest number of students among Rappahannock County schools.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14 in the 2023-24 school year, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools.
