Fauquier County Public Schools District in Fauquier County experienced growth in student enrollment for 2023-24 school year

The only school district in Fauquier County had rising enrollment in the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

There were 10,845 students in Fauquier County Public Schools District, 0.1% more than the year before.

Enrollment in Fauquier County bucked the state's trend of decreasing enrollment.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2023-24 school year, 51.9% of them were male, and 48.1% were female.

Data also showed that most of the studets were white, representing 61.1% of Fauquier County Public Schools District's total enrollment.

Fauquier County Public Schools District has a main office in Warrenton and is the only school district within Fauquier County.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14 in the 2023-24 school year, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools.
