The York Spartans, featuring former Briar Woods High School standout Jake Ludwig, claimed a 9-8 victory over the Misericordia Cougars in their NCAA Division III baseball contest at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11.
The matchup, held at Jaquet Field, marked the first meeting between the two teams this season.
Ludwig pitched four innings and tallied one strikeout.
The Spartans are set to return to Jaquet Field for their next game on Friday, March 13, at 3:30 p.m. against the Eastern Eagles.
