On Saturday, March 14, Blake Berry, a former Virginia Academy player, and his current team, the Fairmont State Fighting Falcons, were defeated 89-83 by the IUP Crimson Hawks in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.
The contest was played at Highmark Events Center at 12 p.m., marking the first tournament matchup between Fairmont State and IUP.
