The Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers, featuring former Tuscarora High School standout Tristin Koerner, were defeated 4-2 by the Sacred Heart Pioneers in their NCAA Division I softball contest Saturday, April 18, at 12 p.m.

The game was played at Our Lady of the Meadows and marked the team’s first meeting with the Pioneers this season.

Koerner contributed one hit in three at-bats and drew one walk.

The Mountaineers are set to face the Pioneers again in their next game, which will begin at 3 p.m. at Our Lady of the Meadows.
