62 students were enrolled for 3rd-grade in Rappahannock County schools in 2023-24 school year

There were 62 3rd-grade students enrolled in Rappahannock County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 12.7% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Rappahannock County Elementary School was the only school that welcomed 3rd-grade students in the county.

Within Rappahannock County schools, the largest number of students were found in 10th-grade, while pre-kindergarten had the least students.

Statewide, Rappahannock County ranked 126th in enrollment numbers. It was also ranked 126th the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
