3.3% of Loudoun County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Loudoun County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 7,762 people out of the 413,574 living in Loudoun County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Loudoun County has decreased compared to the 3.5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Loudoun County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.5%.

Of the 224,799 people who had a job during that time, 1,512 were employed in the Armed Forces and 223,287 belonged to the civilian labor force.
