IFDA Partners Executive Forum Provides Boost to Arizona Food Banks
Attendees at last week’s IFDA Partners Executive Forum in Scottsdale, Arizona, donated nearly 2,500 pounds of food to local charities.
Held from January 29 to February 1 at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, the IFDA Partners Executive Forum is an annual meeting for senior leaders of foodservice manufacturer and distributor companies. At the conclusion of each Forum, attending food manufacturers are encouraged to donate unused product to IFDA’s local charity partner.
This year, 40 manufacturer companies donated an event-record 2,458 pounds of food to Waste Not, which distributed it to three organizations serving Arizonans:
- 1,250 pounds went to an agency for people fleeing domestic violence, sex trafficking, abuse, and homelessness
- 500 pounds went to the Helping With All My Heart church, serving low-income families and individuals
- 708 pounds went to the Vista del Camino Food Bank
