IFDA Urges 118th Congress to Focus on Strengthening the Economy
Mark S. Allen, President and CEO of the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA), issued this statement in response to the current results of the 2022 midterm elections:
“While votes are still being counted, it’s clear that American voters want their elected leaders to focus on solutions that bolster our economy and give consumers relief from staggering inflation. We are optimistic that the House and Senate will seize this opportunity and address our nation’s challenges by bridging partisan divides and creating solutions that will strengthen the economy and help American businesses thrive.
IFDA was proud to endorse and support pro-business candidates in targeted races for the House and Senate, including dozens of newly elected and reelected leaders who are focused on tackling significant economic challenges in the next Congress. We look forward to working with new and returning members in the 118th Congress next year on a wide variety of issues that are facing our industry and our nation, including urgent efforts to develop the supply chain workforce of tomorrow."
