56

Town of Lovettsville recently issued the following announcement.

Public Notice:

Lovettsville Comprehensive Plan Review – Public Participation Meetings

The Town Planning Commission is reviewing the Lovettsville Comprehensive Plan to see if it should be updated. The Comprehensive Plan is an important policy document that among other things helps guide Town Council’s decisions on land use and economic development, and investments in utilities, transportation, and public facilities. The Plan can impact Town residents in different ways, and it is important that residents and business owners participate in the review process.

The current Comprehensive Plan can be viewed at the Town Website: Comprehensive Plan | Town of Lovettsville, VA (lovettsvilleva.gov).

The Planning Commission has scheduled two meetings to hear from residents, business owners and interested groups their opinions and ideas about the adopted Plan, and opportunities and issues facing the Town in the next few years and ideas you have about the direction the Town should take going forward.

The meetings will be at the Town Council Chambers:

9:00 AM January 22, 2022. The meeting will focus on Environmental Resources, Historic Resources, Public Facilities/ Infrastructure, and Transportation.

9:00 AM February 26, 2022. This meeting will focus on Housing, Economic Development, and Land Use.

The Commission has also prepared a brief survey to get your opinions about life in Lovettsville and what may be ahead. Please take a few minutes and log onto the link below to take the survey.  Responses will help identify key opportunities and issues, and community priorities. Here is a link to the survey: Lovettsville Comprehensive Plan Review (google.com).
