This New Years Eve, step back in time with the powerful Silver Tones Swing Band, as we ring in 2022 in high fashion. Gloria's quaint venue sets the stage for a sultry night of hot jazz in the speakeasy. Guests are invited to dress in vintage 1920s attire. Imagine the elegance of velvet evening gowns, flapper dresses, 1920s headpieces, Gatsby suits with suspenders, or sharp-looking fedoras. The Silver Tones Swing Band will take the stage at 9 pm to play three sets of high-energy swing and Dixieland music, straight into 2022! At the first band break, there will be a Charleston contest with a prize for the winning couple. The Silver Tones Swing Band has been entertaining audiences all over the DC Metro area for almost a decade and have become one of the areas most popular jazz ensembles. At this special performance, the band will feature their 14-piece Gatsby band, with headliners Wendy Marie, Gene Bates, and the Silver Belles vocal trio. The Silver Belles recreate the classic music of the 1940s big band era with their rich three-part harmonies. This special New Year's Eve show will include your swing favorites, from the 1920s and beyond, including several numbers by the 8-piece Dixieland ensemble, the Dixie Tones. Admission for this elegant affair is only $50 per person and will include light hors doeuvres and desserts. The speakeasy cash bar will include all your favorite prohibition cocktails, beer, wine, and soft drinks. Doors open at 8 pm. Tickets are limited, so don't miss the swing party of the century!
