Spring 2022 Recreation Registration

Sterling Youth Soccer Association recently issued the following announcement.

Now accepting registrations for the Spring 2022 Recreation program. Recreation practices start in April 2022! Register early and save!

SPRING 2022 PRICING INFORMATION

SEASON DATES

Recreational games are expected to start in April, but the actual start date has not been set at this time.  The season will run through June 4 (U4/U5 and U6-U10-last game with a rain date of  June 11) and June 11 -12 (U11-U19-SFL Tournament -if available).

Following are the fees* for Spring 2022 Season:

U4 & U5 (Born from January 1, 2017, to July 1, 2019)

  • November 2 – December 17 (11:59 pm)-Early: $110
  • December 18 - February 23 (11:59pm)- Regular Period: $130
  • February 24 until full - Late Period - placement based on availability: $140

U6-U19 (2003-2016 birth years)

  •  November 2 - December 17 (11:59 PM) - Early: $150
  •  December 18 -  February 23 (11:59 PM) - Regular Period: $185
  • February 24 - until full - Late Period - placement based on availability: $200

COACHES DISCOUNT:

Coaches who coached in a previous season receive 1 child discount for each team coached (Head coaches 100% covered if registered during early/regular registration and Assistant coaches 50% covered if registered during early/regular registration).

SPRING 2022 RECREATION PROGRAMS

AGE GROUPS:

U4 to U10 Age Groups - House Program

Age groups U10 and under House programs feature weekend intra-league games within the same gender age groups and weekly practices. Teams are coached by volunteer coaches, assisted by professional trainers. Games and practices are held at nearby Sterling middle and elementary schools.

LEAGUE PLAY

U11 TO U19 Age Group

SFL (Suburban Friendship League)

Our U11 to U19 teams plays in the Suburban Friendship League (SFL).  All SFL games are on Saturdays, with occasional Sunday games. Depending on the age groups, home games are held at Paul Hencken Fields or nearby Sterling schools. Away games are normally held at other club facilities in Loudoun, Fairfax, Prince William, or Fauquier counties.

TOURNAMENTS

Our recreation teams also have the opportunity to participate in the SFL end-of-season tournaments, and All-Stars tournaments hosted by Herndon Youth Soccer and the Fairfax Police Youth Club. Players are selected by All-Star coaches after tryouts are held.

TRAINING

Skills training

Sterling Soccer plans to offer extra skills training for all of our players, including goalkeeping, offensive skills and technical skills, and various other soccer skills.  Training will be conducted by travel program coaches.
