Light Level Testing at Lovettsville Community Park Scheduled for October 5

1

County of Loudoun issued the following announcement on Sept. 16

Loudoun County has rescheduled light level testing at the Lovettsville Community Park for the evening hours of Tuesday, October 5, 2021, weather permitting. Residents will notice increased activity at the park prior to the testing date.

During the testing, lighting for the three rectangular fields and the four baseball diamond fields will be turned on and off and dimmed. The county will begin testing at dusk and will continue for several hours. If inclement weather delays testing, plans call for the test to be rescheduled to October 6, 2021.

The light level testing is part of the ongoing project to construct the 90-acre park facility located near East Broad Way, Lovettsville Road and Milltown Road in Lovettsville. Construction on the facility is scheduled for completion in fall 2021. For more information about the construction project, visit the project page at loudoun.gov/lovettsvillepark.
