Loudoun County issued the following announcement on March 18.
During the March 16, 2021, meeting, the Board of Supervisors presented several proclamations and letters of recognition.
>>> Proclamation to Recognize March 2021 as Women’s History Month in Loudoun County: The Board recognized that women have substantially and significantly contributed to the educational, economic and social wellbeing of Loudoun County. Since 1980, Women’s History Month has been a time to reflect on the indelible marks made by women throughout our country.
>>> Leesburg District Supervisor Kristen Umstattd presented letters of appreciation recognizing leaders in the community during Women’s History Month.
>>> Proclamation to Recognize 100WomenStrong in Loudoun County: The Board recognized the organization 100WomenStrong for providing support to help address key areas of need in our community. The mission of 100WomenStrong is to ensure that every resident of Loudoun County has the opportunity for success.
>>> Proclamation to Recognize March 24, 2021 as International Data Center Day in Loudoun County: Loudoun County is home to the largest and fastest growing data center cluster in the world. The industry provides tax revenue for schools, transportation, public safety and services, and has created more than 10,000 associated jobs in our County.
