Loudoun County Public Library issued the following announcement on March 1.
Loudoun County Health Director Dr. David Goodfriend will provide an update about COVID-19 in the county during a live presentation hosted by Loudoun County Public Library.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend the virtual event on Webex at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 4. A link can be found on LCPL’s virtual events calendar at library.loudoun.gov/calendar or here. The program is free to attend and registration is not required.
Dr. Goodfriend will talk about the status of COVID-19 in Loudoun County; the vaccine’s safety, supply and schedule; and the latest news about virus variants. Afterward, attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions via chat.
“As the public’s information center, LCPL is constantly looking for ways to keep community members informed and connected, especially during the coronavirus pandemic,” said Susan VanEpps, LCPL’s manager of Programming and Community Engagement. “We are pleased to be able to offer this opportunity for people to hear directly from Dr. Goodfriend and get answers to their questions about COVID-19 and the vaccination process in our county."
