The campaign committee of Democratic Party candidate Shadi Ayyas, Elect Dr. Ayyas, refunded $1,000 to Ghanem M. Elayass on March 2, according to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

According to the FEC data, the following reason was listed for the refunded expenditure: 'Contribution refund to an individual, partnership or limited liability company'.

Elect Dr. Ayyas refunded $36,000 total since October 1, 2019.
