Stonehill Skyhawks fall to VMI Keydets 7-0 in NCAA Division II baseball

The Stonehill Skyhawks, featuring former Stone Bridge High School standout Alex Cook, were defeated 7-0 by the VMI Keydets in an NCAA Division II baseball game held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 1.

Lamore Field at Gray-Minor Stadium hosted the contest. This marked the fourth meeting between the Skyhawks and the Keydets this season. Stonehill previously prevailed 16-5 over VMI in a game played Saturday, Feb. 28.

During Sunday’s matchup, Cook pitched one inning, finishing with one walk and one strikeout.

The Skyhawks will take on the New Haven Chargers at Lou Gorman Field in their next game, scheduled for 3 p.m. on Friday, March 6.
