Stonehill Skyhawks fall 8-2 to VMI as Alex Cook appears on the mound

Former Stone Bridge High School standout Alex Cook took the field with the Stonehill Skyhawks on Friday, Feb. 27, at 3 p.m., as the team suffered an 8-2 defeat in their NCAA Division II baseball contest against the VMI Keydets.

The matchup was played at Lamore Field at Gray-Minor Stadium and marked the Skyhawks’ first meeting against the Keydets this season.

Cook pitched 1.2 innings, tallying one walk and one strikeout during his appearance.

The Skyhawks are set to play their next game on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m. at Lamore Field at Gray-Minor Stadium in another matchup against VMI Keydets.
