Presbyterian falls 7-5 to Appalachian State as Bauer Burkart pitches in relief

On Friday, March 6, at 4 p.m., the Presbyterian Blue Hose, led by former Tuscarora High School standout Bauer Burkart, dropped their NCAA Division I baseball game to the Appalachian State Mountaineers, 7-5.

The matchup at Presbyterian Baseball Complex marked the team’s initial contest against the Mountaineers this season.

Burkart yielded three earned runs in 1.1 innings of relief, issuing three walks during his appearance.

Presbyterian is set to face Appalachian State again on Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m. at the Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium.
