On Saturday, Feb. 8, former Fauquier High School standout Payton Swart’s current college team, the Elon Phoenix, won 13-7 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the North Carolina Central Eagles.
The game took place at Hunt Softball Park. This was their first matchup against the Eagles this season.
The Phoenix’s next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 9 at 2:30 p.m. at Hunt Softball Park against UNC Greensboro Spartans.
