Michael Webert, a public official from Virginia, shared several posts on his Twitter account on August 13, 2025, discussing topics ranging from economic policy to political systems.
In a tweet posted at 10:28 a.m. UTC, Webert commented on fiscal responsibility and investment strategy. He wrote, “It should always be the goal to diversify your portfolio. The Fed is 36 trillion in debt and growing…. Eventually shit will hit the fan fully with crappy monetary policy. Virginia should continually work to diversify. And that starts with making sure you don’t have to pay a fee” (August 13, 2025).
Later that day at 9:01 p.m. UTC, Webert posted a brief remark unrelated to policy issues: “Bees knees…. So weird it’s cool” (August 13, 2025).
At 10:16 p.m. UTC on the same day, Webert addressed questions about democracy and electoral systems in different states. He stated, “So what the opinion question read is…. We need to get rid of democracy to save democracy.
Virginias system of the bi partisan commission may not be perfect but it’s a whole lot better than Texas, Illinois and California. In numerous states like Illinois Democrats have been” (August 13, 2025).
Michael Webert has served as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates since January 2012.
