Michael Webert, a public official and member of the Virginia House of Delegates, posted a series of tweets on July 31, 2025, addressing political partisanship, gender policies in schools, and campaign unity.
At 11:09 a.m., Webert commented on bipartisanship by stating, “I guess they can no longer claim to be Bi-partisan https://t.co/1XUmMpASNk”.
Shortly after, at 11:11 a.m., he posted about gender policies with the message, “Boys in girls locker rooms…. https://t.co/3PXTCz79Vp”.
Later that morning at 11:20 a.m., Webert expressed support for his campaign ticket by writing, “It was a great event!! We are a united and diverse ticket!!! https://t.co/tquYx3pJya”.
Webert has represented Virginia’s 18th district since 2012. His remarks reflect ongoing debates over partisan divides in state politics and school policies regarding transgender students. The issue of access to school facilities based on gender identity has been contentious across several states in recent years.
