On Saturday, Feb. 8, former Fauquier High School standout Meredith Wayland’s current college team, the George Mason Patriots, lost 9-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns.
The game took place at Lamson Park. This was their first matchup against the Ragin’ Cajuns this season.
The Patriots’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. at Anderson Softball Stadium against Drexel Dragons.
