Loudoun Rehabilitation and Nursing Center was the third largest nursing home in Loudoun County for the first quarter of 2026, data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) shows.

The facility offered 100 beds, which was four fewer than Loudoun County’s average for the period. During Q1, the center served an average of 95.1 residents per day.

The overall CMS rating for Loudoun Rehabilitation and Nursing Center was 2 out of 5, trailing the statewide average rating of 3 for Virginia nursing homes.

Heritage Hall-Leesburg led as the largest nursing home in the county during this period, with 164 available beds. Potomac Falls Health & Rehab Center was second, providing 150 beds.

Loudoun Rehabilitation and Nursing Center incurred a total of $123,589 in three fines as of Q1 2026 and faced four total penalties.

There were three for-profit nursing homes located in Loudoun County, Virginia.

U.S. Census Bureau estimates show that as the population ages, the number of Americans age 65 and older is up by 13% between 2020 and 2024, while those under 18 decreased by 1.7%. The nation’s older adult demographic has grown sharply, rising from 4.9 million in 1920 to over 61 million by 2024.

Analysis from a 2021 report projects nearly half of adults in this age bracket—estimate about 28 million people—may need long-term services and supports. It also anticipates that more than a third might require care in a nursing home at some stage.

“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
