Loudoun County is inviting local nonprofit organizations to attend one of two upcoming virtual meetings about proposed changes to the Human Services Nonprofit Grant Program. The sessions are scheduled for January 15 and January 26, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Information on how to join these meetings is available at loudoun.gov/NonprofitGrants.

The county will present details about proposed changes for Fiscal Years 2028 and 2029 during the sessions and gather feedback from participants. These proposals follow recent actions by the Board of Supervisors, which approved updates related to areas of need, funding allocations, application processes, requirements, and scoring that will take effect in FY 2027. However, decisions on further changes for FY 2028 and FY 2029 were postponed until input could be collected from the nonprofit community.

According to Loudoun County officials, “The purpose of the county’s Human Services Nonprofit Grant Program is to strengthen the county’s collaboration with nonprofit partners and ensure opportunities for local funds to be leveraged in an effective manner for services that assist vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals and families in meeting a critical need for safety, health, security and independence.”

More information about the grant program and details on joining the meetings can be found at loudoun.gov/NonprofitGrants.
