Loudoun County is holding its final government surplus auction of 2025, offering a variety of items for public bidding. The auction includes vehicles such as a 2015 RAM 5500 HD 4×4 Dump Truck with a bed and snow plow, and a 2014 Ford F-150 XL 4×4 Truck. Other items available are an IndeeLift floor lift, Avaya telephones and accessories, inflatable archery targets, exercise equipment, outdoor trash cans, books, office furniture, computers, printers, and more.
The auction will close at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Interested buyers can find detailed information and photographs of the items online.
Bidding is conducted through Public Surplus, an online platform created for public agencies. Registration on publicsurplus.com is required to participate and is free; however, all purchases incur a buyer’s premium of 9.75%. Loudoun County government employees have specific bidding limitations outlined in the auction terms and conditions available on the site.
Purchased items must be picked up by appointment at 14 Cardinal Park Drive, Suite 106 in Leesburg during designated hours: from 9:00 a.m. to noon or from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pickup dates are specified for each item listed on the Loudoun County auction website.
According to county officials, “The Loudoun County surplus auction helps keep items out of the Loudoun County landfill by repurposing them.”
