The Loudoun County Department of Housing and Community Development has announced an invitation for public comment on its annual federal housing report. This announcement was made through a press release.

According to the release, the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) details how federal funding has been utilized to support housing, public service, and community development initiatives within the county. The report encompasses activities from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, including the implementation of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships programs.

The department states that the public comment period will remain open until Monday, September 8, 2025. The final report is scheduled for submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development by September 28, 2025.

Eric Keeler has been appointed as the new director of the Loudoun County Department of Housing and Community Development, effective August 14, 2025. According to a Loudoun County press release, Keeler was selected following a nationwide search. He brings with him three decades of experience in federal, state, and local housing programs and most recently served as deputy director of Alexandria, Virginia’s Office of Housing. “His expertise in affordable housing finance, development, program administration and fiscal management will serve the county well as we continue to create more attainable, affordable housing opportunities,” said County Administrator Tim Hemstreet.

The Loudoun County Department of Housing and Community Development is responsible for administering federal, state, and local programs aimed at creating housing opportunities and strengthening communities throughout Loudoun County, Virginia.
