Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) has announced recent collaborations with the Division of Family and Community Engagement (FACE) and community partners to provide students with resources and support as part of the back-to-school season.

According to a news release by LCPS, FACE and the Division of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (CTAE) collaborated with the Broadlands Rotary Club to distribute backpacks to Leesburg, Meadowland, and Sugarland elementary schools. This initiative aims to equip students with school supplies for a successful start to the year. Loudoun County Fire and Rescue contributed through the Heroes and Hornets Backpack Initiative, helping Sully Elementary students feel prepared and confident on their first day.

Additional community partners have also provided resources and supplies to support students’ readiness for school. These efforts reflect how LCPS, FACE, CTAE, and community organizations work together to provide essential materials and strengthen connections within the student community.

The Division of Family and Community Engagement (FACE) works to strengthen partnerships between families, schools, and community organizations. It provides outreach, events, educational programs, volunteer opportunities, school-based supports, and collaborations with local businesses, faith groups, and community partners to support student learning and success. The division emphasizes inclusive practices such as multilingual communication to ensure all families are engaged. FACE also offers resources like family liaisons, community schools, family academies, support for English learners, and business partnerships.

Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS), headquartered in Ashburn, Virginia, provides comprehensive information on its operations including calendars, school hours, parent resources, and administrative contacts. The district maintains detailed enrollment data through District and School Profiles which include demographics, graduation rates, Standards of Learning (SOL) pass rates, standardized test scores, and federal accountability metrics. Virginia’s School Quality Profiles complement these reports by offering annual snapshots on student achievement among other metrics. LCPS is led by Superintendent Aaron Spence.
