Hofstra defeats Stony Brook 4-1 in NCAA Division I softball with Gabby Sultan contributing

On Sunday, March 8, at 1 p.m., Gabby Sultan, a former standout at Broad Run High School, helped Hofstra Pride earn a 4-1 victory over the Stony Brook Seawolves in NCAA Division I softball.

Bill Edwards Stadium was the site of the game, which marked the third meeting this season between the two teams. The Pride previously claimed a 2-1 win over the Seawolves on Saturday, March 7.

Sultan tallied one hit from two at-bats, drove in one run, scored once, and drew a walk.

The Pride are set to play again on Wednesday, March 11, at 2 p.m. at Bill Edwards Stadium against the Sacred Heart Pioneers.
