Geary Higgins, a Republican elected to the Virginia State House in 2024 representing the state’s 30th House district, has recently shared a series of posts on social media addressing political and policy issues.

On February 14, 2026, Higgins commented on salary increases for public officials: “Hmmm… Well, they did triple their own salaries to make things more affordable for THEM!”

Two days later, on February 15, 2026, he addressed the political landscape of a region bordered by Democratic states and governed by a Democratic city council: “Bordered by two Democrat States and controlled by a Democrat City Council… Silence, not newsworthy…”

On February 16, 2026, Higgins highlighted concerns about cannabis legalization with a direct message to Virginians: “Are you listening Virginia? Experts SOUND ALARM on impact of cannabis as states legalize use”

Higgins succeeded Nick Freitas as the representative for Virginia’s 30th House district following his election in 2024.
