Geary Higgins, a Republican elected to the Virginia State House in 2024 to represent the state’s 30th House district, has recently shared several opinions and observations on his Twitter account.

On February 19, 2026, Higgins referenced comments by Upmanu Lall, Director of the Water Institute at ASU, regarding DC Water’s handling of funds for infrastructure repairs. In his tweet, Higgins quoted Lall: “Upmanu Lall, Dir. of the Water Inst. at ASU, noted that DC Water had ‘raised the $600 million (for) repairs…’

‘So why didn’t they already do something about it? I’m not sure…’

Later that day, Higgins posted a tribute to a colleague from Virginia: “A GREAT Virginian… It was a privilege to serve with him. https://t.co/HRflV065AI” (February 19, 2026).

On February 20, 2026, he commented on affordability measures with skepticism: “More ‘affordability’…? Or should I say bullshevitz… https://t.co/SNue6XraLy”.

Higgins succeeded Nick Freitas as representative for Virginia’s 30th House district after winning election in 2024.
